I came across this article this morning about a new study that looked a two specific probiotics, Lactobacillus GG (which you can buy at the store) and bifidobacterium lactis (not sure which strain.) The study indicated that taking these specific probiotics while pregnant may have an impact on post baby weight. Now the safety of taking these during pregnancy was not explored, so please don't go out and start buying probiotics. However, the study did find a link between taking the probiotics and a lower level of belly fat (central adiposity.)
